Young Fabulous & Broke Raylen Top in Marine Strip

When you think of tie dye, usually most of us think of summer apparel. A great maxi dress, T-shirt or scarf.   I know I did. But Young Fabulous and Broke (YFB)  recently approached me aboutthe option of wearing tie dye for Fall instead of a print.   To be honest, I was a little skeptical. Well, seeing is believing.   YFB sent me a sample of their Raylen Top in a unique Marine Sketchy Stripe Wash (pictured above.)  The top is so comfortable and attractive, that I had to reconsider tie dye as a trend that can last beyond summer.

The tie dye pattern of the YFB’s Raylen Top is striking under a leather jacket or a plain simple black blazer jacket.   I’ve gotten so many compliments on it.   Based in Los Angeles,   Young Fabulous & Broke offers a wide array of tie dye clothing in earthly hues and dark shades.  Their holiday 2013 collection is full of striking ombre, tie dye, ink blot and streaky prints dresses and tops.   There are even sweaters.   Most of the garments have  a loose construction and are designed for maximum comfort. However, they don’t look over-sized or sloppy.   In addition to tops YFB offers knee-length dresses and even chiffon tops. This brand has a great casual chic look and the manufacturing is of high quality, reflecting the slightly higher price tag for the garments. Fabrics used include blends of polyester, rayon and spandex as well as viscose.  Look for deals on Young Fabulous and Broke at Shopbop.com, Neiman Marcus Last Call and on the YFB Clothing website. Remember to search for promo codes before you press the buy button.   If you’re not familiar with this brand, check it out.  I find their offerings quite unique and if you check Shopbop reviews of their clothing are highly rated.    The quality of the garment justifies the over $100 price tag.   These pieces are not going to self destruct after one wash like some budget designer collections that shall remain nameless.  They just need a little tlc as some will need to be hand washed and laid flat to dry.  But taking the time to give the garment the proper care will keep the colors fresh.
