Tony Cohen: New York Fashion Week’s Valentines Vision for Fall

Perhaps the most romantic collection this week of fashion shows came from designer Tony Cohen. Coincidentally, the show was today on Valentines day. Models walked the runway on a bed of black rose petals. The collection included long black evening gowns, short burgundy dresses with appliqued black tights and long coats. Perhaps most striking of all were the beautiful floral appliqued leggings/tights shown with a short burgundy dress. All the women sitting around me wanted these leggings immediately, to wear today, not in six months. Here is a picture:

The collection also consisted of beautifully draped dresses, wool boucle/silk trimmed jackets and jersey wrap dresses.

Today’s show was my first in-depth introduction to Tony Cohen’s designs. But I hope to see more of them, maybe even next year at the Barney’s sale? 🙂
