Tucker by Gaby Basora for Target: New Pictures

Right before the Labor Day weekend, Target released 21 images “officially” of their forthcoming Tucker for Target line.  I have to agree with fellow blogger, Target-Addict about being less than impressed by the overall collection.  It’s not what I would call a “cohesive line”.  You’ll find all kinds of hippie dippy tops and crazy prints, amidst a little black Boucle dress and the above pictured outfit,  featuring an attractive blouse, jacket and skirt.  The above look is my favorite of the 21 images.  The picture shows the jacket, a Persian Bomber in Black, $79.99 Camisole in Butterfly Print, $22.99  and Brocade Skirt in Gold/Navy, $39.99.  The Persian Lamb Bomber Jacket is the best looking thing in the collection.   About 3-4 years ago I bought the Behnaz Sarafpour for Target Persian Lamb jacket for almost $100.00 at Target.  I still love it, and wear it every fall. It’s a gorgeous piece.  I hope the Tucker version will looks as good at the Behnaz version. The rest of the collection is a bit of a yawn. It’ll be interesting to see how the pieces look in person. I really like Tucker and Gaby Basora, but I’m not sure the Target collection does the designer justice.
