AMUR x RCGD: AMUR Launches Sustainable Fashion Collection with RCGD
AMUR, a clothing collection born from the concept that great style does not have to come at the expense of our environment, has announced a capsule collection in collaboration with Suzy Amis Cameron’s Eco-Fashion Campaign, Red Carpet Green Dress.
The collection titled AMUR x RCGD, is comprised of nine styles which include separates as well as dresses all made from sustainably sourced materials. Notable fabrics include GOTS certified organic cotton, regenerated duchess satin made from New Life, a yarn spun from recycled post-consumer plastic, Asahi Kasai cupro, a Japanese fiber that is made from cotton linter which is waste from cotton production and a Viscose Linen blend, responsibly sourced and FSC certified.
The line was unveiled at Red Carpet Green Dress’s annual Pre-Oscars Celebration on Thursday, February 21 in Beverly Hills and is now shoppable at Amur.com as well as select styles at Bloomingdales in March. Twenty five percent of the proceeds of sales from Amur.com will be donated to MUSE School CA, a non-profit educational organization co-founded by Amis Cameron and her sister Rebecca Amis.
It’s an honor to partner with a brand like AMUR, a company who shares our vision and purpose for sustainable fashion. Together we are able to help transform people’s perception of what ethical-wear looks like. It’s sexy, it’s beautiful, well-made and helps make our environment better to live in now and for years to come. – Suzy Amis Cameron
Mitchell Hops, President, CEO of AMUR, JS Group International states “Suzy has long been an environmental advocate and trail blazer in bringing awareness to sustainable fashion for the last 10 years through her organization, Red Carpet Green Dress. We’ve followed her and RCGD for quite some time and couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity to partner with her on this capsule collection.”
What do you think of the Amur X RCGD collection readers? My favorite piece in the collection is the boho styled Mica Skirt.
