Actor Matthew McConaughey Launches New Clothing Line, JKL

There’s a new celebrity clothing line in the works from actor Matthew McConaughey.  On earth day, when the world’s land fills are crammed full of junk, including old clothing, you have to ask, do we really need a new celeb line?  So why is this happening? According to a press statement, the line will benefit a good cause and “it’s fun.”   Hey enough said, right? 

McConaughey has partnered with Canadian-based apparel manufacturer Grand National Apparel to announce the launch of JKL (jklbrand.com), an active-inspired sportswear collection derived from McConaughey’s active lifestyle and philosophy of life.  A portion of sales will support the just keep livin Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by McConaughey, which implements after-school fitness and wellness programs, in inner-city high schools.

“I’m starting this brand because it accents a positive.  It spreads a good word, creates incentive, puts a smile on my face and it’s fun,” stated McConaughey.

Look for McConaughey’s laid back casusal styles  to be incorporated into JKL men’s collection in Dillard’s stores and online for Spring 2013.
