French Designer Sophie Theallet’s Collection for The Limited hits the Christmas sale rack
Sophie Theallet Bow-Detail Dress for The Limited
French designer Sophie Theallet just arrived at your local mall with a very simple collection for The Limited. The collection looks very vintage inspired to me. The 1930’s looking bow dress features contoured seams and a bow with long ties on the shoulder. I was wondering how a collection from Ms. Theallet would sell at a store that hasn’t featured an upscale designer in a while. Judging by online sales. the dress is selling very well with many sizes already sold out. Some of the sell-out maybe due to the fact that the dress was featured in Oprah magazine, along with a rave review. Fortunately for consumers, Ms. Theallet’s design partnership with The Limited will continue until spring 2013.
If you’ve heard the French designer’s name before it may be because Michelle Obama has worn Ms. Theallet’s colorful dresses. For The Limited, Designer Theallet has created a simple bow shoulder dress (see above) with a drop waist in several colors for the holiday party season. The a bow-trim crepe dress retails for $108 and matches a cardigan from the collection priced at $69.99 Both pieces are now on sale at The Limited’s website . Check the sale codes on The Limited’s website. Other pieces in the collection include bracelets and clutches. It’s a very simple and elegant collection. The dress is cut close to the body so you may want to size up (for that you’ll have to go to a store, since online many sizes are sold out) and wear a good foundation like Yummie Tummie or Spanx.
I’m glad the collection is so well received and that Ms. Theallet’s garments are now selling for such an affordable price. Have you checked this collection out yet readers? There are so many designers doing budget lines now, it’s hard to keep track!
