J Crew’s Non-Traditional Wedding Jumpsuit sells out

In the past few years the concept of the bridal dress has been changing. Celebrities like Jessica Biel and Kaley Cuoco have changed things up by wearing pink wedding gowns.  But now J. Crew is taking things a step further by offering brides to be the option of wearing a bridal jumpsuit.  This was a bold move, but one that has paid off for the J. Crew. The $750.00 “Eyelash Lace” Jumpsuit , available only online,  has sold out.

The lace overlay designed garment features cute bow closures in down the back inside of more traditional covered buttons.  The jumpsuit is really cute to be sure, but I wonder how many of these J. Crew made and offered for sale? It seems like the brand was testing a new design idea– one that consumers like. At $750.00 the jumpsuit is a low-price alternative to traditional wedding gowns. The jumpsuit is a garment that can offer more opportunity for wear, as it will be something that can be worn for special events well after the wedding.    What do you think readers?  Would you get married in an elegant jumpsuit instead of a wedding gown?
