Oribe Makeup: Vegan and Gluten-Free Beauty Products

By  |

If you’re sensitive to gluten or  health conscious, you need to pay attention to the ingredients in your makeup.   So many of us moderate our diet, and take care not to eat GMO (genetically modified) foods or wheat, but we don’t take the time to understand that the same foods we are cutting out of our diet may also be in our skincare and beauty products. If you’re interested in “clean” makeup,  Oribe has introduced a line of beauty products that are both vegan and gluten-free.

I recently had the opportunity to try Oribe Makeup at the Eden by Eden Sassoon salon on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. Oribe, established as a hair care line, launched make-up and beauty products in mid 2016.   Their offerings include makeup, skincare, body care, nails, tools and accessories.   I tried the Oribe illuminating face palette blushes and the nude lip lust creme lipstick.

The blush has a luminescent quality, with the fine pearlized powders giving skin a glow. The Oribe lip cream has an infusion of white lily and myrrh moisturize

The makeup application is smooth and long lasting.  The nude lipstick is a color that will go with everything year round.   Although it’s not cheap, the products are quality free and the colors are gorgeous.  The products are paraben-free; petrolatum-free; mineral oil-free and gluten-free.  Oribe makeup is also cruelty free and made in USA.  Look for Oribe makeup at Nordstrom and Net-a-Porter.
