Shopping tips for Erdem x H&M collection

Fashion lovers know that Nov. 2 is the launch of the beautiful Erdem x H&M collection.  Many of you are saving the date and getting ready to shop this collection online and in-stores.   As we have with previous H&M designer collections,  we’re posting the H&M shopping rules.  By now. most of you know the drill.  Get up early and get in line early either at H&M’s website or at the limited selection of stores that will carry the collection. If you’re shopping this one, here’s what you need to know. These rules come from rules posted by H&M on their website.  Please note, the return period is limited now to just a few days –probably to discourage eBay sellers from returning items that don’t sell online.

Shopping Hours for  ERDEM x H&M on Nov. 2, 2017

The collection is available in select stores 8:00 AM local time and online from 8:00AM EST / 5:00 am PST on November 2, 2017. H&M reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.

How many items can you buy

Purchases are limited to no more than one item per style per person. This applies to all items in the collection including accessories, shoes and bags.

Shopping in Store: ERDEM x H&M.

Customers in line will be given a colored bracelet; there are 14 colors with one for each group of 30 customers. Your color determines when it’s your time to shop in the designer collection area. Each group will have 10 minutes to shop, with 5 minutes between groups.

In-store: purchases are limited to no more than one item per style per person. This applies to all items in the collection including accessories, shoes and bags.

You can still shop as normal in-store as this process only applies to the designer collection area.

You can line up before the store opens
If you arrive before the store opens, please join the line and the H&M staff will tell you how the shopping process works. As the designer collections are usually very popular, there are a few things to keep in mind for a great shopping experience.

Returns only until Nov. 8. 2017

H&M offers a return or exchange in the original form of payment, with or without a receipt, until November 8th. After November 8th returns of ERDEM X H&M collection will no longer be accepted. Any purchases of the collection made after November 8th are final sale. All merchandise must be returned in original selling condition. Purchases must be returned to an H&M store. Valid photo ID required for returns without a receipt.

Returns for purchases made on HM.COM:
H&M will offer a return or exchange, in the original form of payment on the items that are returned within 7 days of the order date. After November 8th orders will no longer be accepted in stores and must be returned via mail. All merchandise must be returned in original selling condition. I will be shopping online because I just can’t take the in-store psycho-drama of the crush of hoarding shoppers at the H&M store.   Right now, I’m not planning on shopping the press preview either as the Balmain press preview in LA was such a debacle two years ago.  By the time I got in the store on Sunset in Los Angeles, just about everything was gone.  For H&M x Kenzo, the line didn’t sell out.  In fact, it later went on clearance, so there was no shopping frenzy. It was a complete non-event.   This will be different as Erdem is a coveted luxury brand and this is a gorgeous collection.  I predict a sell-out, and then a few returns for Erdem x H&M.  I’m hoping to get a handbag, some jewelry, the scarves and a blouse.   I’d love a dress or coat, but that is going to be a tough get.  What’s on your shopping list readers?
