Los Angeles: Victoria Beckham for Target Launch Party

Celebrities Jessica Alba, Naomi Harris, Kate Mara and Zoe Saldana turned up at an exclusive garden party in Los Angeles to promote the upcoming launch of the Victoria Beckham for Target collection.  The former Spice Girl turned designer, Ms. Beckham, was on hand to pose for photo opportunities with guests to promote her Target collaboration.

Target’s celebrity launch parties pre-release of their designer collaborations always seem to whet the public’s appetite for the collections.  By now it’s part of the marketing launch for any Target fashion collaboration to invite celebrities to a party and take pictures of them wearing the Target apparel.  I’ve often wondered how much better the quality of the clothes might be (and if they could be made in America, by American workers) if the marketing costs for the celebrity appearances weren’t part of the Target budget. Fashion journalist Michelle D. Tyree of Fashion Trends Daily attended the party and noted that, ” The quality and fabrications are some of the best we’ve seen from the beloved collabs.”  From what I was able to see, the English vintage inspired prints and fabrics were very pretty. I just can’t offer an opinion on fit pr quality as I wasn’t able to try any of the items on. Party attendees were grabbing clothes off the rack to purchase quickly.  But were they buying for themselves, or buying to resell?  There are eBay listings springing up already for Victoria Beckham for Target.
