NYFW: Noon by Noor Shows Timeless Femininity for Spring/Summer 2018
Feminine touches are the trademark of the Noon by Noor fashion house. For Noon By Noor’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection, designers Shaikha Noor Rashid Al Khalifa and Shaikha Haya Mohamed Al Khalifa showed easy, deconstructed summer styles with a minimalist color palette of red and white, sketchbook print and unique embellishments. This was a much more paired down collection than we have seen from Noon by Noor previously at Fashion Week.
“This collection was a testament to our brand’s versatility, which merges masculine shapes with timeless femininity,” said Shaikha Noor Al Khalifa Shaikha Haya Al Khalifa. “This season has marked our first handbag collaboration. When we sat with Tyler and her team, we all felt that Tyler Ellis and Noon By Noor were a perfect match.” said Haya Al Khalifa.
The collection features oversized shirts and knitwear with ruffles, pleats, billowing sleeve shapes and sheer fabrics.
The core color palette of red, soft white and rosebud pink was accented by a few pieces in black and white & black prints. A ladybug and large sketchbook floral print contributed to the all over textural pattern of the collection. The floral sketch was embellished on blazers, skirts and dresses. Pleated detailing offered clean minimal lines, and sheer cottons and silk fabrics present a modern take on Bahrain’s traditional silhouettes. Oversized tailored trousers are paired back with knitwear, offered classic mannish tailoring.
For Spring/Summer 2018, Noon By Noor has collaborated with luxury L.A. based handbag designer Tyler Ellis to create a signature 10-piece capsule collection comprised of two styles a sleek Kelly Box and Lee Pouchet envelope clutch.
The first Noon By Noor handbag collection features a variety of luxury textures, fabrics and gold hardware.
