Madonna Rocks a Pair of Danskin Fishnet Tights on the Nov. 2013 cover of Harper’s Bazaar magazine.

Nobody can bring sexy back like Madge, er Madonna. On the November issue of Harper’s Bazaar Madonna rocks an expensive Lanvin dress along with a a pair of fishnet stockings on the cover.   The Lanvin dress might cost hundreds but the fishnet stockings are considerably less.   In the fashion shoot for Harper’s Madonna actually wore  Danskin stockings which retail for $28.00.

Fishnets have been a sexy and inexpensive style pick since the 1940s.   For Madonna, what better way to express her style and ultimately her toned derriere.  Leave it to Madonna to opt for maximum exposure, although I have to say, she is in damn good shape. Her taste maybe questionable, but what can you expect from a woman who modeled for a coffee table book called “Sex.”   Madonna’s style in the Harpers’ layout seems a bit like a homage to vintage pin-up Queen Betty Page, who wore fishnet stockings in many pictures.

With cooler temperatures here for Fall, tights are a great and inexpensive way to dress up your wardrobe.   Milly showed off great colorful tights in her NYFW show a few years ago.   Tights never go out of style. Madonna just wears her tights a little different than the rest of us.
