Preview: Webster Collection for The Shops at Target

By  |

If you read here, then you know I don’t love everything that Target does in terms of fashion lines.  Many times, they have scrimped on quality in favor of hypes and it has shown in their end product quality.  This was sadly the case with the Jason Wu for Target Collection. But, I am intrigued to see the offerings from their upcoming Webster Collection that will be part of their Shops at Target launching on May 6th.  I like the preview pictures from the look books that Target just released, especially the above pictured drawstring dress in two-way deco print priced at $42.99.  According to Target press, the print is inspired by the Miami Beach Art Deco scene. The dress looks very cute and versatile, as it will suite a variety of events.  I’ll be curious to see the quality of the material and manufacturing.   Forty-three dollars is still a lot of money for a dress from Target, in my opinion.  Especially when you can find lower-priced designer offerings at TJ Maxx, Marshalls and Ross from name brand designers.   What do you think readers?

Ranging in price from $7.99US  to $49.99 US, The Webster at Target collection will be available May 6, 2012 at all Target stores and Target.com.  The collection will feature kids and baby clothing plus women’s shoes. Sizing for the collection will include select styles in plus and petite, available via Target.com.  Here’s hoping the whole collection doesn’t end up on eBay one day after it launches at Target.
