With winter temperatures around the world dropping, it’s the perfect time to start evaluating your outerwear or coat collection.  Is your coat warm enough? Is it long enough? I have different lengths of coats and styles depending on my travel schedule.  My long coats are reserved for East Coast and Midwest trips, or travel abroad.  I typically wear my short coats on the West Coat.   And then of course, I always have an all weather Burberry (Burberry does have outlet stores, so check this helpful list for their locations.)  or other good coat that has a removeable lining for extra warmth.   Recently, I sat down to talk to MainStreet.com to talk about my money saving tips for buying a good coat.  Check out the article to learn my favorite in-store and online shopping tips.   If you’re shopping for a coat now, and you want to point and click, check out today’s sale on shopping club Ideeli.   They have a great selection of stylish coats all for under $75.00 US, from designers like Kenneth Cole, Tommy Hilfinger, Steve Madden, VIA Spiga, Miss Sixty and more. If you’re not an Ideeli member, click her to sign-up using my invite to shop. (note this is a “sponsored link, and I do earn a small referral fee when you buy at Ideeli, if you shop using my invite.)

I’ve also found discount, thrift and vintage stores to be great places to shop for outerwear.  I’ve found amazing deals everywhere from Goodwill to TJ Maxx.  One of my all time best scores is a beautiful tweed Marc Jacobs coat purchased at a consignment store in New York.  What about your readers? Any favorite places for reasonable cold winter wear?
