Bloomingdale’s After Christmas Sale- Save Up To 75% off

By  |

I have to give you all a little heads-up on the Bloomingdale’s New Year’s/After Christmas sale.  This is definitely one of the best sales I have been to all year. I took all my Christmas gifts of gift certificates and cash and went to the sale Saturday at their Century City Los Angeles store.  I scored the Milly Addison dress for 75% off of the retail price. Talk about winning, since the dress retails for $365.00 (see the Saks and Milly websites for the dress still selling at full price.)   The belt was missing and it needs a good dry cleaning, but all these things can be done quite easily, especially when you are saving over $250.00.

If you have any holiday gift certificates and cash, and you are looking for quality pieces for either men or women, then do check out Bloomingdale’s. The sale is better in-store than online in my opinion. You have to sift through all the mismatched odds and ends, and one-off treasures on the racks that can’t be stocked online.  Some of the designers on the sale racks include: Rebbeca Taylor, Milly, Parker, Burberry, Alice & Olivia, Nanette Lepore, Rachel Zoe, DVF, Donna Karan, DKNY, Marc Jacobs, Tory Burch and Vince. If you’re reading from New York, do check out the sale at the 59th St. store.

Later today, I’ll be doing my New Year’s closet cull and donating items I haven’t worn for a long time, or no longer work for me, to Goodwill.  Some of my handbags may even be sold on eBay, if they are in good condition. No need to hold onto the old, when acquiring new classics that will last a long time.
