London Fashion Week: Topshop Brings on the Trendy for Spring 2018

By  |

Topshop brought out all the usual suspects for their London Fashion Week show for Spring /Summer 2018.  Sir Phil (owner Phillip Green) was in the stands with Topshop uber model Kate Moss.  On the runway were super models Jourdan Dunn, Hailey Baildwin, Joan Smalls and Arizona Muse. The new collection was the usual mix of hip and trendy with a bit of British style.

Sadly, this collection will be the last for Topshop Creative Director Kate Phelan and her team.   I will miss Ms. Phelan and her talented crew.  In my opinion, she really elevated the Topshop look and style effectively mixing established British style with youth, and freshness. The next Topshop collection will be put together by David Hagglund who joins Topshop from competitor H&M.

Topshop 2 SS18 Hailey Baldwin

Looks from the Topshop Spring /Summer 2018 collection included oversized pastel coats & tight satin mini-dresses.

This collection featured faux fur coats, sequins, feathers, metallic leather blazers, satin trousers, midi-dresses and satin mini dresses. The color pallet included baby blues, pale pinks, reds, purples and soft yellows.   The show finale featured a homage to denim with the models strolling the runway in jeans, denim jackets and T-shirts with the names on them. True to Topshop’s commitment to “runway to retail” much of the collection is already on sale on the Topshop website.

Model Arizona Muse strolls the runway at the Topshop London Fashion Week show.

One of my favorite looks from the show was model Arizona Muse in a striking white skirt and jacket with booties.

Jourdan Dunn Topshop

Topshop regular Jourdan Dunn looked stunning in a diaphanous powder blue evening dress with embellishments.
