Happy Holidays from The Recessionista

This has been such a tough year, it’s hard for me to even feel like it’s Christmas this year. Like most people, I feel overwhelmed by the global COVID-19 pandemic. It’s hard to feel like celebrating when so many people in the world are sick, unemployed and struggling.  Shopping is hardly a high priority at this time. It’s hard to care about fashion trends when most of us are not going anyway.  This year I gave more donations to charities than I gave gifts.

Life is a lot slower this year as restaurants and most retail is closed . All of us are staying home to stay safe until we can receive the vaccine. My Christmas wish is that we can all receive it as soon as possible. Until then, we most continue to stay at home, wear masks, wash our hands and stay safe.  My family Christmas festivities are limited to ZOOM meeting this week.

Despite these challenges,  I am wishing my dear readers a joyous holiday season  and a very Merry Christmas!  I’m grateful for my health, my friends and my family. It’s almost time for 2020 to end, and 2021 has to be better for all of us.
