Derek Lam is headed for Kohl’s

Designer Derek Lam is headed to Kohl’s stores this Spring with a Brazilian themed collection for Kohl’s DesignNation. My spies tell me the collection  will consist of misses’ apparel and swimwear, including dresses, skirts, pants, capris, shorts, tank tops, shirts plus outerwear. Prices are expected to range from $36 to $98.  I can’t wait to check this out.  Derek Lam did a capsule collection for eBay, a few years ago, but the prices were too high for my tastes.   More recently, he designed a pair of slippers and a skate board for the Target Holiday collection.   Those items ended up on the 70% off clearance rack , but they were hardly representative of his skills.  I expect better from his Kohl’s collection and will be evaluating items soon in an exclusive preview.  My fellow budget blogger, The Budget Babe already got her preview items and gave them a thumbs-up.   Look for The Recessionista’s report soon!  The quality of Narcisco Rodriguez for Kohl’s is a tough act to follow.
