Toledo Lane Bryant

The new Isabel Toledo collection for Lane Bryant is now in stores and online.

Lane Bryant’s first designer collection for the plus-size market, Isabel Toledo for Lane Bryant arrives in store and online today (March 17th, 2014.) It’s a stunning collection, including a coat similar to the one designed for Michelle Obama.  The  Lane Bryant Toledo collection is “full of wonderful, quiet details that women will find special and highly wearable. You can dress them up or down depending on your personal style. ” says designer Isabel Toledo. “I want the guest of Lane Bryant to mix my capsule collection with the rest of her Lane Bryant wardrobe to create her individual looks. That is modern American style at its best!” See some of the pieces from the collection that we are lusting for. Sizes range from size 14 to 24.   Too bad there is not a wider range of sizes for everyone to enjoy, because this is truly a great looking collection.

The gold tone embroidered coat priced at $178.00 is similar to the one worn by First Lady Michelle Obama on her walk to the first Obama inauguration swearing in.

The lowest priced item in the collection is the $38.00 patent tote with a sketch by Ruben Toledo on it.

Pricing for the collection garments ranges from $60.00 for a T-shirt to $178.00 for a cocktail dress.  If you check this one out, let me know what you think.  The collection is a real step forward for Lane Bryant and plus-size fashion, although I have to agree with Robin Lawley –I  wish they wouldn’t call it plus-size.  The term alone seems like a veiled put down.
