Janna Ryan Steps Out on the Campaign Trail in Kohl’s

By  |

Janna Ryan, wife of new vice presidential Republican candidate Paul Ryan, showed her taste for the chic and cheap on the campaign trail this past weekend. Mrs. Ryan stepped out in an affordable $33.00 dress from Kohl’s department store.  Her dress choice has been picked up by no less than ABC news.  Democrat Michelle Obama has long been rocking affordable dresses from J. Crew and even Target, but this is the first time I remember seeing a Republican political wife buy something affordable.   Republican wives like Ann Romney and Cindy McCain are well known for their upscale tastes.  Janna’s pick is a hit with Facebook fans, who gave the dress a big thumbs up and praised Mrs. Ryan’s frugal tastes.  Sadly, the dress is of course now sold out.  I wouldn’t be surprised if Kohl’s restocks this one though to meet popular demand.  What do you think of the dress readers? Too bright or just right? It certainly sets the tone for the Republicans that frugal fashion will have a place on the campaign trail.  I love how fashion can set the tone.
