New York Fashion Week

Ready, Set, Pin: Milly Announces Pinterest Contest for New York Fashion Week

It’s no secret over here at The Recessionista HQ that we love designer Michelle Smith aka Milly. Oh Milly, how do we love thee? Let me count the ways.  The prints.  The vintage inspiration. That french beret.  The bold colors.  And finally, that little touch of playful fun.  Whenever there is a Milly sale or deal, our people go running to it like an oasis in the desert.  That’s why I have to let you know about the upcoming Pinterest contest that Milly will be holding, because the lure of free Milly has a very strong appeal!  In the build up to Fashion’s Night Out,  aka FNO,  the designer will hold a contest from Aug. 23 – Sept. 6 where Milly Twitter followers have the opportunity to tweet their “Future Perfect” Pinterest board along with the hashtag #worldofmilly  to @MillybyMichelle. The winner will be announced via Twitter, Facebook and at the FNO event at the Milly Madison Boutique on Sept. 6 at 9 p.m.  But here’s the best part, for all that Tweeting and Pinning the winner will score some may-jor fab stuff!   The winner’s prize will be a 2-night stay at the White Barn Inn, 2 tickets to the Milly by Michelle Smith Spring 2013 fashion show, $500 credit at Millyny.com or at the Milly boutique and the opportunity to have their board posted to the Milly Pinterest page from Sept. 7 – 30.  How good is that? Needless to say, I’m gearing up for this one, and you can expect to see me on Pinterest and Twitter trying to win me some Milly by Michelle.
