Lilly Pulitzer will offer a special “Extending Summer Since 1959ish ” exclusive one-day promotion on July 3rd.

If you missed getting your Lilly for Target thanks to stampeding shoppers, then good news, a special Lilly promotion is coming! Lilly Pulitzer is hosting an Extending Summer Since 1959ish exclusive one-day promotion next weekend to celebrate the summer season and 4th of July holiday!  The deal is that when you shop, if you spend $200.00 you’ll get a special Lilly Pulitzer towel.   You can shop the online sale on July 3rd for apparel, and if you spend the $200, you’ll get the towel.

On Friday, July 3rd, a special one-day promotion will be offered in-store and online. Special gifts with purchase include:

  • Spend $200 and receive a limited edition beach towel
  • BONUS: Spend $1,000 or more and receive 5 limited edition beach towels

As we all know, it’s not hard to spend $200.00 at Lilly Pulitzer, so if you have something in mind you want, you might want to wait for July 3rd to get your free towel to get the most  value out of your shopping.   Judging by the mails in my in-box, there’s still a considerable amount of consumer anger against both  Target for the version of Lilly Pulitzer and the sell-out of the collection due to what I believe was minimal stock with no shopping  limits.   A few people got plenty, and others got none with most of the stock ending up for sale on eBay.  It was a shopping debacle, especially when you throw in the fact that Target’s website crashed under the weight of the shoppers trying to get their Lilly for less.

So I think the more promotions like this Lilly Pulitzer can do to bring their faithful fans back to their own site to shop the better.  I’m just not sure a towel is the best incentive.  What do you think readers?  Will Lilly Pulitzer’s website crash on July 3? It will be interesting to watch and see.
