Swarovski Launches Jewelry Collection Inspired by Hollywood for the Oscars

By  |

Atelier Swarovski has announced that they will be launching  a gorgeous jewelry collection inspired by the glamour of old Hollywood. The retro-inspired collection has a vintage look similar to jewelry from the 1920’s and 1930’s.  You can imagine one of the pieces on Jean Harlow in Dinner at Eight or on Gloria Swanson in Tonight or Never.

It’s fitting that Atelier Swarovski, would create a fine jewelry collection inspired by Hollywood.  Even more fitting that the collection will appear at red carpet events around the world following the upcoming  89th Academy Awards.

Swarovski and Hollywood Costume Design

Swarovski has a long heritage in the entertainment industry and has collaborated with some Hollywood’s finest costume and set designers for over 85 years. What made those ruby slippers sparkle in The Wizard of Oz?  Swarovski crystals of course!  The sparkling Swarovskis have played a supporting role in some Hollywood’s most memorable films, worn by some of the  silver screen’s most beloved  stars, from Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz, Marilyn Monroe in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.  More recently, Swarovski crystals have accented film fashions worn by Jennifer Hudson in Dreamgirls, Nicole Kidman in Moulin Rouge! and Lily James in Cinderella.
