Topshop Launches Reclaim to Wear 2013: Recycling Floral Prints

By  |

Earlier this year H&M launched their garment recyling program “Don’t Waste Fashion.” Now Topshop is entering the sustainable fashion space  for summer 2013 with a new collection in their “Reclaim to Wear”  range.  This summer’s “Reclaim to Wear” Topshop range features floral print fabrics from previous Topshop seasons redesigned into pretty floral maxi dresses, tops and skirts.   The line is very romantic and reminiscent of the collections Topshop did with Liberty of London.

Topshop Reclaim 2013

Topshop’s 2013 Reclaim to Wear collection is full of florals for summer

This is Topshop’s second “Reclaim to Wear” collaboration.  For this collection, Topshop has teamed up  with the  green fashion label “From Somewhere ” by Orsola de Castro and Filippo Ricci to  produce eco-friendly fashions.   I really love this look of this collection because it reminds me of some of the great print fashions from iconic British designers like Zandra Rhodes and Celia Birtwell.   Topshop brought both of those great designers, as well as Liberty of London,  back to the mass-market several years ago with collections expressly made for  for Topshop buyers. Fittingly, the entire collection  “Reclaim to Wear” line for 2013 is made in Britain and it’s a great showcase for the British fashion industry.  This use of panels and slits in the garment designs is an ingenious way to reuse textiles.

Look for the collection at select Topshop stores, online and of course in London at the Oxford Circus store.  In the UK, prices range from £34-70.  In the US, prices range from $68.00 to $140.00 for the range.

The collection includes these pieces:
