Peter Som for Kohl’s DesignNation Lookbook

My favorite dresses from the Kohl’s for Peter Som collection due in stores April 10.

Kohl’s has released the full lookbook from their next DesignNation designer, Peter Som.  This collection is very resort wear focused, inspired by the “luxe lifestyle” of  St. Barths.   My fellow blogger Budget Babe is loving the preview. I’m not so sure.  I have to wait to see this in store.  While I like the casual unconstructed look for spring/summer because it’s comfortable in warm weather, based on the lookbook , some of the pieces lack definition.  I spotted this before in the Derek Lam collection and I hope that’s is not the case here.  I like a bit of fit and defined waist in my clothes.  So what can you expect from Peter Som for Kohl’s?  Pajama style wide legged pants, colorful print and striped dresses, graphic tank tops, bermuda shorts a cool white moto jacket, a floral romper and a halter maxi dress.  The sizing will range from  size 0 to size 16.  Unfortunately, there is no budget version of the Peter Som dress that Scarlett Johansson’wore so beautifully a few years ago. Check out the full lookbook with prices on the Kohl’s website.  You can expect everything to be reduced from the retail prices and on sale when the collection launches on April 10th.   And you know you can always find a Kohl’s coupon too, especially if you sign up to receive emails from them on their website.  There’s no reason to pay retail at Kohl’s.
