London Fashion Week: Topshop Fall 2017

By  |

Topshop showed their  Fall 2017 collection today in London at the Tate Tanks space.  The show ran the gamut from funky to glam, with a bit of everything. There was plenty of slouchy knitwear, sixties styled striped pants and offbeat layering combinations including orange stripes paired with  romantic florals.

I have to be honest some of this collection seemed too quirky to be appealing, case in point the oversized jumper (sweater) with the reindeer on it titled “The Lindberg Pullover by Unique” and priced at $475.00 US.  Seriously Topshop, are you joking pushing this expensive ugly Christmas type sweater?

Layered looks and oversized garments were part of the Topshop London Fashion Week show for Fall 2017

A few staples from just about every recent Topshop Unique collection were on display including statement coats, oversize knits, and grunge-layered florals.   There were also the trademark Topshop English floral print dresses with very low cut backsides ( a striking pink floral dress was modeled by one of Sylvester Stallone’s daughters.)

 Ruby Dress by Unique

One of my favorites from the collection the Ruby Dress by Unique priced at $700.00.

Creative Director Kate Phelan showed evening dresses that were accented with flowers and sequins plus a bit of Jean Harlow style with sheer slips and sparkling embellishments.  For me, these dresses were the highlight of the collection.   Look for the entire collection on sale now at Topshop.
