UNIQLO x MARIMEKKO SS20 collection online at UNIQLO

The colorful UNIQLO x MARIMEKKO Spring/Summer 20 collection is now available on UNIQLO.com.  The cheerful prints  are fun and fashionable.  All that’s missing from the collection is face mask—sorry readers that’s what I’m looking to buy at the moment 🙂  However, the collection does feature a small mini-scarf that might be useful to cover the face or make a home made face mask.

 The collection arrives just in time for Mother’s Day, Sunday May 10, 2020.  Although most of the world is in quarantine, hopefully better days are ahead and there will be opportunities to go our and wear pretty things again.  Fittingly, the collection is meant to celebrate the end of long winters and the joys of summer times with friends and family.  The beautiful iconic Marimekko prints were created by the company’s
legendary designers Maija Isola and Annika Rimala.

With the pace of retail slowing down during the COVID-19 crisis, I was surprised to some of the collection pieces are selling quite well, and some sizes in the UNIQLO X MARIMEKO Collection are already selling out.  Even in tough times people love affordable, cheerful fashion.
