Calypso St. Barth for Target Beauty and Home Review

I had to do a Target run tonight for home supplies and found the pieces of the Calypso St. Barth collection that I missed on May 1  when I reviewed the clothing items from the line) on the store shelves.  As you can see from the pillows above, the prints are lovely and summer cool.   I even spied the silver pouf, er ottoman on the shelves.  It’s quite a quite piece if you are looking to add a little “I Dream of Jeannie” magic to your home, or a touch of old Morocco.  I’m not sure it’s a great addition to every home, but it’s definitely a cute girly piece, although a tad overpriced ( I think it was $60.00 US.)  I don’t recommend the candles or the elephant teapot, but the plastic plates, bowls and candle holders are nice looking and would be great for college students on a budget.  I also had the chance to check out the Calypso St. Barth beauty collection.

I really liked the little cosmetic cases for travel or make-up storage.  They are pretty and practical, priced from $12.99 to $29.99.  Some of them would even make a nice clutch to compliment one of the tops or dresses.  Look for the Mother of Pearl shell bobby clips, they can be a bad hair day life saver. Target-Addict was right about those bobby clips, they are really, really special.  The white head band with the metallic shimmers is also perfect for summer.

My local store still has plenty of the collection, but on Target.com some pieces are selling out. So if you are thinking of buying some of this collection, or gifting for Mother’s Day, my advice is don’t wait too long.
