Fashion designer and former Spice Girl, Victoria Beckham.

Here’s a partnership we couldn’t have predicted–designer Victoria Beckham is teaming up with Target for a children’s  and women’s fashion line aimed to launch in Spring 2017.  According to Target ” Victoria Beckham for Target includes more than 200 items for women and kids.” No preview pictures are available, but our spies tell us this collaboration will include dresses, rompers, and tops for women, children and toddlers.   Working with Target is probably a great business decision for Ms. Beckham as its been well documented in the fashion press that the her fashion line is not exactly in the black.   A profitable, low-priced fashion collection with Target will undoubtedly bolster the profitability of Ms. Beckham’s fashion line and expand her market reach. The children’s line is inspired by Ms. Beckham’s  adorable daughter Harper.

“I was inspired to create the Victoria, Victoria Beckham line when I was pregnant with Harper, and since its launch, the category has evolved into an established lifestyle collection,” says Victoria Beckham. ” With both the line and my daughter turning five, I felt it was the perfect time to extend into a more accessible price point and to celebrate both milestones by opening the range up to include childrenswear for the first time.”

Victoria Beckham for Target will range in price from $6-$70, with most items under $40, and will be offered in sizes XS-3X for women and NB-XL for girls, toddler and baby.  It is ironic that Ms. Beckham, who has been criticized for using uber thin models in her fashion shows and advertising, will be producing “plus sized” clothing for Target.

The collection will be available April 9 through April 30, 2017, or while supplies last, at all Target stores and Target.com, with select pieces available for global shoppers via VictoriaBeckham, com.

My burning question is this—will Victoria Beckham for Target dresses look like Roland Mouret dresses? 🙂
