The Who What Wear X Target Collection launches Sunday Jan 31 at Target stores and Target.com

Target’s collaboration with Fashion website Who What Wear is due in at stores and online tomorrow, Jan. 31, 2016. I’m waiting to see the collection on the racks to access it’s quality first hand. As all my readers (and Target shoppers know) the quality of Target’s fashion collaborations has been uneven. Depending on the off-shore factory that makes the garments, and the materials used, the results have ranged from widely successful like the Phillip Lim Target collection to lackluster. From the Who What Wear X Target Collection lookbook online, the floral skirts and moto jackets look promising, the rest of it, I’m not so sure about.

The collection will be updated monthly at Target and will feature a collection of dresses, skirts, pants, outerwear, handbags and more, all for under $50; select styles will be available in plus-sizes on Target.com.  Although Target promises this will be cheap, that doesn’t mean it’s chic.  Fifty bucks is still a lot of money to spend on apparel that probably costs Target much, much less to manufacture.  Look for my full review when I see the collection in stores.  As usual, Target has paid celebrities to appear at launch party for the collection to entice consumers to buy it. Jessica Alba, Kate Bosworth & Jaime King all turned up this week to shill the collection for Target at a special launch event.
